FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy and can be used for production of long bar semi-finished products from superelastic alloys for making orthopaedic implants. Method of producing long bars with diameter 5÷10 mm from superelastic alloy of titanium-zirconium-niobium system, including processing of ingot by multiaxial forging, further radial shift rolling, rotary forging and hot straightening by stretching. Ingot is subjected to multiaxial forging with true deformation degree of 0.15÷0.25 of total true deformation degree, radial shear rolled stock is made with true degree of deformation of 0.35÷0.55 of total true deformation degree, rotary forging is performed with true deformation degree of 0.15÷0.25 of total true deformation degree, after rotary forging and prior to hot stretch straightening, lengthwise rolling is performed in three-roll gage to bar of final size with true strain of 0.15÷0.25.
EFFECT: higher strength (σb=600÷800 MPa), high value of reversible deformation (εrev=5÷7%) and hyperelastic behaviour at room temperature for further use in medicine.
