FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to thermomechanical treatment of titanium alloys, namely to creation of method of helical rolling of alloys of titanium-zirconium-niobium system, and can be used as a semi-product for making bone implants. Method of helical rolling of alloys of titanium-zirconium-niobium system consists in the fact that multi-pass helical rolling of billet is performed with intermediate heating at angles of lifting screw trajectories of metal movement in deformation area of 12–24°, at that, the passes are combined with trajectories of movement along the right helical lines and passages with trajectories of movement along the left helical lines; at that, the total share of true deformation in the passages with trajectories of metal motion along one of the helical line types does not exceed 65 % of the total true deformation.
EFFECT: higher strength and ductility, as well as improved service properties of alloys of titanium-zirconium-niobium system operating under conditions of long-term twisting loads of alternating direction.
