SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and a device for controlling indoor illumination intensity. Method includes the following. Requirement is obtained for target value of illumination intensity when target electric device is operating, if it is detected that target electric device that operates is sensitive to light intensity in room. First illumination intensity indoors is obtained. Controlling the indoor lighting intensity adjustment device in accordance with the first intensity value of indoor lighting and the target illumination intensity requirement. Apparatus for adjusting indoor illumination intensity is configured to vary a first light intensity value inside the room such that a second light intensity value inside the room corresponds to a target illumination intensity requirement.

EFFECT: device for controlling indoor illumination intensity can be automatically controlled based on the obtained requirement for the target illumination intensity and the collected indoor illumination intensity value so that the indoor illumination intensity value complies with the light intensity target value requirement, thereby effectively improving the video viewing result by the target electric device.
