FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to protective structures for housings of accumulators for accumulators of electric vehicles. According to the invention, the accumulator housing for a storage battery of the vehicle traction motor includes a plurality of elongated impact absorbing elements made from a polymer reinforced with carbon fibre attached to the walls of the housing. Impact absorbing elements can be corrugated elements, which have ridges and furrows, connected by inclined surfaces, which form trapezoidal spaces relative to sides of jacket. Ridges are configured to deform into trapezoidal space in case of impact to absorb impact forces and protect accumulator. Impact absorbing elements can be retained by T-shaped guides on outer surface of casing walls or can be attached by adhesive to casing sides.
EFFECT: technical result is protection of accumulator against damages.
