FIELD: radar ranging.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radar ranging, in particular, to a method of determining location of ground targets by a ground-based spatially distributed radio navigation system (RNS) transmitters of RNS reference stations, ground receiver, in which for the purpose of illuminating signals are used signals of transmitters RNS. Transmitters of reference stations RNS with known coordinates, navigation signals are emitted, which are scattered by ground targets with desired coordinates, ground receiver with known coordinates, synchronized with transmitters of reference stations RNS, by signals scattered by ground targets, measures distances Rnm "n-th transmitter – m-th target – receiver" for viewing space of possible location of targets is given coordinates of virtual ground target, forming systems of equations from differences between virtual and measured distances "n-th transmitter – m-th target – receiver", sums of difference modules are generated, after calculating sums of difference moduli ΔL coordinates M of ground targets are selected coordinates corresponding to M minimum values of said sums, wherein set of M vectors, each of which includes N measurements Rnm, providing minimum ΔL, is the result of primary identification of position measurements in a ground-based spatially distributed radio navigation system.
EFFECT: determining location of several ground targets by radio navigation system from measurements of sums of distances from ground targets to transmitters of reference station RNS and ground receiver, coordinates of which are known.
