FIELD: radar ranging.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radar ranging and can be used for inter-position identification of measurement results and determination of coordinates of aerial targets in multi-position radar system (MPRS) in conditions of multi-purpose environment. Method for inter-position identification of measurement results and determination of coordinates of aerial targets in total-range MPRS is based on use of excessive total-range-finding measurements obtained in m > 1 positions of MPRS, wherein method provides in MPRS one of positions, conditionally selected as basic, and successively considered all marks of air targets, registered in base position of MPRS, checking for each air target mark of the base position based on the corresponding overall-range-finding measurement of the basic position based on the position (base ellipsoid) position plotting, with focal points in the transmitter and base position receiver points, obtaining a rough estimate of the air target spatial coordinates, for which the base ellipsoid has been built, formation of a measurement vector from the reference position, i. e. a group of marks for that air target, and elevations of excess positions providing minimum summary discrepancies, recurrence of similar procedures with construction of a base ellipsoid for each mark of aerial targets observed in the base position of the MPRS.

EFFECT: technical result is inter-position identification, which reduces the number of identification hypotheses with a large number of targets and does not require additional redundant measurements.
