FIELD: radar ranging and radio navigation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radar ranging, in particular, to a method of determining the location of aerial objects in a multi-position radar system deployed using multibeam radio transmitters from a surface local spatially distributed radio navigation system (RNS). Technical result is achieved due to simultaneous emission by each n-th (n=1, 2, …, N) multibeam radio transmitter probing signals in sectors narrow in direction, located in preset view areas, each signal has its own identifier Ink, comprising number of multibeam radio transmitter n and sector number k (k=1, 2, …, K); receiver with coordinates x0, y0, z0, synchronized with multibeam radio transmitters reflected from M probing signal aerial objects; processing of received signals in order to separate individual identifier of probing signal Ink, which determines the number of the multibeam radio transmitter n and the number of the radiation sector of the probing signal k, and parameters characterizing propagation time of radio waves on the path "n-th multi-beam radio transmitter – m-th airborne object – receiver"; estimation based on said route length parameters "n-th multi-beam radio transmitter – m-th airborne object – receiver" Rnm; identification of estimate Rnm by individual identifier of probing signal Ink; determination of coordinates of aerial objects simultaneously present in working zone of multi-position radar system.
EFFECT: identification of position measurements and location of several aerial objects by radio navigation system based on measurements of sums of distances from objects to multibeam radio transmitters and receiver receiving signals reflected from aerial objects.
