SUBSTANCE: disclosed is an aerosol generating system (100) comprising aerosol-generating device (70) comprising heating element (72); and aerosol-forming article (102). Aerosol-generating article (102) comprises drug source (18) and a volatile compound source (22) for improving delivery. Aerosol-forming system (100) further comprises bimetallic strip (126) placed in aerosol-forming device (70) or in aerosol-forming article (102) and having a first end in thermal contact with heating element (72), and a second end in thermal contact with volatile compound source (22) to improve delivery.
EFFECT: bimetallic strip (126) is made so that heating of the first end of bimetallic strip (126) to the temperature exceeding preset temperature results in displacement of the first end of bimetal strip (126) in direction of removal from heating element (72).
