FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes a measuring platform balance mounted in a square depression on the foundation on the taxiway of the runway strip on which moving aircraft enters with the mean aerodynamic chord marking on the bottom of the fuselage. The measuring platform balance is mounted in the middle on support hinges. The length of each half of the platform balance can simultaneously accommodate the nose and main landing gear of the aircraft. The apparatus also has a television transmitting camera and a photographic camera whose optical axes are directed for superposition thereof on the scale of the mean aerodynamic chord, cross at a point over the axis of rotation of the platform balance, and are mounted on the foundation of the platform, an angle measuring unit, sensors for the turning angle φ and angular velocity φ of the platform balance, which are mounted on the axis of rotation of the platform. The system includes a unit for measuring the position of the centre of gravity of the aircraft in percentages of the value of the mean aerodynamic chord, a control unit, an information transmitting radio line, input and output contacts of the platform balance on which are mounted an illumination system and contactors - terminal switches.
EFFECT: faster and more efficient determination of the position of centre of gravity of aircraft before take-off.
