Response rate control means is configured to control the speed of response of the driving torque to perturbations acting on the vehicle. At that, when the initial start-up operation is determined as being executed, the response rate control device increases the speed of response of the electric motor actuation torque in comparison with the response speed immediately before the vehicle stop. Also disclosed is control method for electric motor electric motor.

EFFECT: reduced possibility of recoil of vehicle at beginning of movement on road with slope.
