Method of analyzing sizes and shape of particles used in borehole operations, comprising: obtaining a substrate image comprising a reference size and a plurality of particles on the substrate; processing the obtained image, comprising determining particle boundaries on the filtered image of the substrate and outputting the particle analysis results.
