Test strip fixation device for determining the concentration of an analyte in a physiological fluid using an optical test strip having a test region provided with a reagent, and a mobile device having a camera is flat and has a cutout portion, an upper surface comprising reference colour fields having reference colour values, including fields of reference grey, which are located locally and symmetrically around the cutout part and around fields of reference colours, different from fields of reference grey, and comprising code elements for determining the position, and a lower surface containing a fixing element for detachable connection of the test strip with the fixation device of the test strip so that to ensure alignment of the test area with the cut part. Test strip fixation device is configured to fix the test strip to obtain, using the camera of the mobile device, an image comprising at least a portion of the test region, on which a physiological fluid sample is applied, and at least part of the upper surface of the test strip fixation device. Disclosed is a method for determining concentration of an analyte in a physiological fluid using a mobile device.
