SUBSTANCE: image encoder contains an input for a high dynamic range input image; an image grading unit configured to allow a human colour calibrator to set a colour display from a high dynamic range input image representation to the first low dynamic range image using a human colour mapping algorithm and configured to output the colour specifying data; and an automatic calibration unit configured to obtain the second low dynamic range image by applying an automatic colour display algorithm to a high dynamic range input image, with a colour display algorithm performing a condition that the reconstructed image of a high dynamic range within the second predefined accuracy, from the high dynamic range input image can be calculated by applying the second colour display algorithm, which is an inversion algorithm of automatic display colour, the second image is a low dynamic range.
