DEVICE FOR PORTABLE WIRELESS RECORDING OF CEREBRAL ELECTRICAL ACTIVITY Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B5/476

Abstract RU 2693217 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment. Device for portable wireless recording of cerebral electrical activity is presented in the form of a helmet for positioning of dry electrodes on the scalp for detecting cerebral electrical activity. Helmet consists of frame for location around user's head and holders of dry electrodes from elastically deformable material, each of which follows curvature of user's head. Holders are attached to the frame so that the voltage in the holder caused by its elastic deformation caused by the arrangement of the body around the user's head leads to the fact that the holders press the electrodes towards the scalp. Dry electrodes are electrically connected to the data recording unit. Carcass is composite with rigid or elastically deformable moving front part and rigid fixed rear part and is equipped with elastic tape connected to holders of dry electrodes in their middle part with possibility of changing length and attachment with movable part of frame. Electrodes are spring-loaded and are installed on the holders in the holes at dry electrodes positioning points. Holders are made of dielectric material. Electrical connection of electrodes with data recording unit is made by means of electrically conductive cables having an electrically insulating shell and connected to a switching system with a data recording unit which is fixed on a fixed part of the frame for positioning on the occipital region of the head and is a housing, inside which an autonomous power supply element is placed, a recording data amplifier which is electrically connected to the electrodes and to the amplified signal transmitter configured to wirelessly transmit the amplified signals to the remote electronic computing device for analyzing data, indication unit, information panel of which is brought to front panel of housing, connected to amplifier of detected pulses. Movable part of frame is connected with fixed part of frame so that possibility of changing length of movable part of frame.

EFFECT: broader functional capabilities and improved performance of the device for portable wireless recording of cerebral electrical activity as a means of studying emotional responses of a person or group of individuals to the obtained visual or other information.
