FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a hard alloy hardening method and can be used in machine building in production of powder metallurgy articles from hard alloys used for cold and hot machining of metals and alloys, for example, by cutting. For hard alloy obtained by sintering at temperature of 1,400–1,650 °C with further cooling, after sintering, ion nitriding is carried out in a vacuum furnace in a dissociated ammonia medium at temperature of 540-800 °C and pressure 5 Pa.
EFFECT: simplification of technical process of ion nitriding of hard alloys and increase of alloy resistance.
