FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy and can be used for bucket steel processing. Proposed wire comprises metal shell and calcium-based filler with impurity content of magnesium. Filler is made in form of homogeneous alloy, which additionally contains at least one element A, selected from group of aluminium and silicon, with weight ratio of components Mg:A from 0.01 to 40.0.
EFFECT: invention improves operational characteristics of the wire by introducing a low-volatility component into the alloy, which compensates for high pressure of the vapour of the calcium-containing filler due to volatile impurities of magnesium.
