FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of swiveling bolts for lower rods in an internal combustion engine comprising a multi-link piston crank mechanism. Clamping device (31) is arranged on cylinder block (11) installed in inverted position, and crankshaft (5) rises upwards from part (17) of main bearing and is maintained in preset position along height. Lower tie-rod (7) temporarily installed on con-rod journal (6) at the previous stage rotates around con-rod journal (6) as center by means of robot manipulator and is retained in preset inclined position, in which separating surface (28) becomes vertical. In this state, a pair of bolts (29) is horizontally swirled on the right and on the left by using nut wrench (55).
EFFECT: increased efficiency of assembly of multi-link piston crank gear.
