FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the internal combustion engines. Method of operating control of clearance in crankshaft con rod bearings in diagnostics of internal combustion engine of vehicles, transport and transport-process machines consists in the fact that for operational control the gap measurement in the crank bearing is performed by the piston movement upwards and downwards within the gap using measuring device (1000) with the indicator of the clock type. Housing lower part of measuring device (1000) with guide, pusher, pusher tip through socket of fuel injector of engine block head is inserted into cylinder in space above piston (501). Pusher end rests against piston (501) located at top dead centre at compression stroke. Measuring device is fixed on the pin of the block head by means of clamps and a nut.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of accuracy of determination of clearance in connecting rod bearings of crank mechanism of each cylinder of internal combustion engine.
