SUBSTANCE: invention refers to pharmacology, namely to use of dimer dipeptide GSB-214 (heptamethylene diamide bis-(N-monosuccinyl-L-methionyl-L-serine)) as an agent possessing antidiabetic activity and relieving manifestations of depression accompanying diabetes.

EFFECT: invention extends the range of antidiabetic agents slowing the development of type 2 diabetes and exhibiting no hypoglycemic effect, and having antidepressant activity.
