FIELD: test technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to investigation of strength properties of solid materials by creation of wide range of stresses in them, specifically to tests of tubular samples under action of external pressure and axial tensile or compressive load. Device consists of high-pressure chamber, sealing shell, flanges, movable and fixed grippers. Grippers with external and internal conical split bushings ensuring application of both tensile and compressive axial force to the specimen are used to fix the test specimen and to transfer axial force to it. Sample and grippers are closed by sealing shell and located inside high-pressure chamber, and in one of grippers there is channel for output of wires from deformation sensors located on inner surface of a sample.
EFFECT: broader capabilities of determining mechanical characteristics of materials, including those made from permeable materials, on tubular specimens at biaxial stress state and independent setting of axial tensile or compressing load and external pressure with registration of deformed state of sample material during experiment.
