FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: device contains coils for holding material in levitation using varying electric current in coils. Device comprises first and second coils, which during use create alternating electromagnetic field. Pipe of non-conducting material is located inside coils so that it is present between coils and some amount of material used and held in levitation between first and second coils as it moves along central axis of coils inside pipe. First coil is located above the second coil, has smaller number of windings and are connected through one current source or each has separate current source. Tube is positioned vertically, with top hole open and bottom hole closed, and is filled with magnetic fluid. First coil with fewer windings is located at inlet, and levitating material held between electromagnetic fields of first and second coils is shifted from open inlet to closed outlet hole of pipe under effect of magnetic fluid pressure forces. Inner surface of pipe from non-conducting material is coated with glass-like film of tantalum oxide obtained by ion-plasma method.

EFFECT: technical result consists in providing maintenance of standardized conditions of heat and mass exchange of levitation process.
