FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of casting by levitation melting method, wherein charge of electrically conductive material by means of initial material, which contains several pre-separated, separated by regions with reduced cross section of charge, is placed in action zone of at least one electromagnetic alternating field, as a result of which charge is retained in levitation condition. At the same time the areas are made so that separation of the pre-separated charge is performed only at melting in the electromagnetic alternating field. After that, the melt is poured into molds.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to use industrial application of levitation melting, in particular due to improved efficiency of melting process, method must ensure high throughput capacity and use of cost-effective billets for charge.
