SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication and is intended for controlling transmission of signals. In this method, a first radio network node controls transmission of signals in a wireless communication network, wherein the first radio network node provides radio coverage in the first service area in the wireless communication network. First radio network node transmits first beam reference signal (BRS) in a first service area, wherein the first BRS signal comprises a series of repeating sequences of samples of equal length in the initial representation in the time domain for the first BRS signal.

EFFECT: design of a mechanism, which improves characteristics of a radio communication network by controlling transmission of signals in said radio communication network.
