SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication engineering for performing a network access procedure. According to a first aspect of the invention, disclosed is a method of performing an access procedure carried out in a communication network node, comprising steps of receiving an indication from a communication network node, wherein the indication comprises allocating a plurality of random access physical channel (PRACH) resources for transmitting a PRACH channel preamble, wherein a plurality of PRACH channel resources comprises a first combination or a second combination of time resources, frequency resources and sequences, the first combination comprising a plurality of temporary resources, one or more frequency resources and a first plurality of sequences, and the second combination comprises one or more time resources, a plurality of frequency resources and a second plurality of sequences; and selecting PRACH channel resource from plurality of PRACH channel resources.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of systems, where the number of available preamble sequences decreases with decreasing OFDM-symbol length.
