SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polymer composite materials (PCM), specifically to sizing of carbon fibres intended for production of materials which can be used in chemical, oil and metallurgical industry, aircraft engineering for making articles and structural elements exposed to high temperatures. Agent for carbon fibre ranging is at least one compound of formula

where R1= R2 and is methyl or phenyl or when R1 is methyl, then R2 - phenyl; and/or at least one compound of formula

,

where R3 is selected from a group comprising aryl, aryloxy or alkyloxy substitutes. Invention also relates to a dressed carbon fibre coated with a layer of said agent and a polymer composite material in form of a tape, or web, or fabric, which contains dressed carbon fibre and phthalonitrile binder. Phthalonitrile monomers for dressing carbon fibres due to improved compatibility (adhesion) of dressed fibre with binders enable to obtain material retaining its mechanical properties at high temperatures (up to 450 °C).

EFFECT: technical result is high strength, as well as improved compatibility of fibres with binder and improved physical and mechanical characteristics of composite materials.
