FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analytical chemistry. Method of preparing samples for determining lead content in a pyrolysis liquid for atomic emission spectrometry with inductively coupled plasma involves sampling a pyrolysis liquid in amount of 0.2–0.7 g, adding nitric acid and thermal decomposition in a muffle furnace. Pyrolysis liquid sample is decomposed in crucible at 450–550 °C in air medium till formation of dry carbonaceous residue on crucible inner surface. Dry carbonaceous residue is treated with an aqueous solution of nitric acid. Solution with dissolved and non-dissolved impurities is obtained and filtered on ash-free filter. Insoluble impurity separated on filter is thermally decomposed at 650–750 °C to complete ashing. Obtained ash is dissolved in a solution with dissolved impurities.
EFFECT: invention reduces the time of sample preparation for determination of content of lead in pyrolysis liquid, reducing number of steps of decomposition of sample.
