FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to device for production of low-voltage electricity. Nuclear particles pass through at least one layer of activated scintillator to obtain electromagnetic radiation and conversion into electrical energy due to internal photoelectric effect by transmitting radiation to semiconductor element. An activated scintillator is used in which atoms of one or more chemical elements of the matrix and/or activator are partially or completely replaced with isotopes of the same or chemically homogenous elements or molecules with such elements as nuclear fuel.
EFFECT: possibility of increasing efficiency of nuclear radiation energy conversion into electric energy.
