SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a pole of a low-voltage switch comprising an insulating body with side walls, front wall and rear wall, forming inner space with contact area and arc suppression area, fixed contact assembly and movable contact assembly located in contacts area, movable contact assembly is movable between a closed position in which it is in contact with a fixed contact unit, and an open position in which it is at a distance from the fixed contact assembly, and an arc-extinguishing chamber comprising a plurality of, substantially parallel metal plates inserted into the casing, made of insulating material, and located in the area of arc quenching. Switch pole has an insulating wall located in the inner space between the contact area and the arc-quenching area and partially separating the contact area from the arc-extinguishing area, as well as a channel connecting the contact area with the arc quenching area and made in this insulating wall.

EFFECT: technical result is provision of reliability, absence of risk of formation of arc with metal parts located outside the area of damping.
