FIELD: test.

SUBSTANCE: present group of inventions relates to cardboard testing means. Proposed method for testing cardboard is carried out using a testing mechanism and comprises placing cardboard from a known type of corrugated material between the support plate and the pressure plate of the mechanism, application of load to cardboard by movement of clamping plate relative to support plate so as to compress cardboard between them, obtaining load readings and deviations using one or more sensors mounted on or inside the mechanism, and outputting at least one pair of load readings and deviations for comparison with a predetermined reading for said predetermined load or for said predetermined deviation for said cardboard, wherein either said predetermined deviation is a distance which does not exceed 90 % of predetermined average first fracture point for said corrugated material, or said predetermined load may be of order of 50 to 95 % of predefined load to achieve first destruction point for said corrugated material, wherein the middle first fracture point is a deflection point, where the first peak load occurs. Proposed method is realized by appropriate testing mechanism and apparatus.

EFFECT: this group of inventions makes it possible to increase efficiency of cardboard testing without changing its structural properties.
