FIELD: internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: described are systems and methods for controlling imbalance in composition of fuel-air mixture, used to control unbalanced internal combustion engine composition of fuel-air mixture. In compliance with one embodiment of the invention implementation, the engine operation mode correction is provided in case of unbalanced cylinders according to the air-fuel mixture composition detected by the total number of cases, in which measured inter-peak drops ratio of components of exhaust fuel-air mixture is less than a certain threshold value, normalized to total number of inter-peak oscillations.
EFFECT: proposed approach can be used to detect imbalance in composition of fuel-air mixture between engine cylinders.
