Method implemented by the lane detection device includes steps where a plurality of lane characteristic points detected by the target detection sensor installed in the vehicle are detected. When the vehicle lane change is detected, the method corrects lane characteristic points detected before lane change begins, and detects lane boundaries after band change is completed by using corrected lane characteristic points detected and accumulated before start and after lane change is completed.
