SUBSTANCE: method for detection of lanes overlaps multiple groups of boundary points of traffic lanes, which are parallel to each other, extracted according to continuity of plurality of lane characteristic points, detected by means of target detection sensor, installed in vehicle, estimates the lane contour according to lane characteristic points included in overlapping groups of traffic lane limit points, and determines the lane boundaries based on transverse positions of traffic lane boundary points groups, and the lane circuit estimated.
EFFECT: invention provides stable detection of lane boundaries contours.
