DEPLOYMENT OF NARROWBAND TRANSMISSION SERVICE ON A BROADBAND CARRIER IN A PROTECTIVE FREQUENCY BAND Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC H04L5/00

Abstract RU 2695079 C1

FIELD: wireless communication equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication networks and can be used in networks with existing radio access technology standard "Long-term development" (LTE). Broadband carrier, e.g. LTE carrier, is shifted up or down in frequency within the allocated frequency band by a multiple of the channel raster interval (e.g., 100 kHz). This reduces the size of the protective frequency band on one side of the carrier and widens the protective frequency band on the other side. Narrowband carrier, for example, narrow-band Internet bearer (NB-IoT carrier) is then used within an extended protective frequency band at such frequency or near such frequency that transmission is orthogonal to transmissions of broadband carrier, for example, using common grid frequency interval, for example, at interval of 100 kHz and using subcarriers of 15 kHz. Thus, the narrow-band carrier supports orthogonality with the broadband carrier, but has a "space" within the extended protective frequency band for both transmission at a frequency close to the frequency grid interval, and for increasing transmission power, for example by 6 dB, while remaining within spectral mask, i.e. without breaking it. Shifted broadband carrier is transparent for broadband UE, since frequency shift is multiple to channel raster interval.

EFFECT: proposed deployment of narrowband transmission service on broadband carrier in protective frequency band.
