PHYSICALLY SEPARATED CHANNELS FOR LOW-COMPLEXITY NARROWBAND RECEIVERS Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC H04L5/00

Abstract RU 2713403 C1

FIELD: wireless communication equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication networks / systems, particularly wireless communication networks / systems, which can be accessed by low-complexity narrowband receivers, such as IoT devices. Receiver (212), for example, IoT device, receives and processes radio signal (220). Radio signal (220) has at least a first frequency band (SC) and a second frequency band (D1). First frequency band (SC) includes first signal (222), the second frequency band (D1) includes second signal (224), and each of first signal (222) and second signal (224) includes plurality of frames (226), each frame (226) has multiple subframes (M-subframe). One or more subframes (M-subframes) of first signal (222) include connection information allowing receiver (212) to establish connection with the wireless communication system. All subframes (M-subframes) of second signal (224) are free from any connection information.

EFFECT: receiver (212) establishes a connection with a wireless communication system using the connection information and, after establishing a connection with the wireless communication system and in response to the band information indicating the second frequency band (D1), operates in the second frequency band (D1).
