SUBSTANCE: invention relates to artificial lighting, in particular to methods of controlling light radiation, as well as to field of surveillance devices, in particular, to methods for reducing illumination of optical devices. Method of light exposure to at least one surveillance device attenuation is characterized by that at least part of light sources creating light illumination, made in the form of pulse light sources, are switched on periodically, with period T for duration of time trad and with time shift d depending on their position relative to said surveillance device. Light flux is blocked from the above pulsed light sources in the observation device, and during movement of the pulsed light sources, said shift d is changed depending on their current position. At least one area with a certain distance from it is determined around the surveillance device, which is most important to protect against light illumination and for pulse light sources located on that territory, a switching mode with constant shift d established for this territory is established. Light source control system includes control devices which are configured to receive synchronization signals and signals to determine their location. Surveillance device control device includes a unit for receiving and processing synchronization signals and signals for determining the position of the surveillance device relative to pulsed light sources and a unit for generating signals for overlapping light flux of pulsed light sources.
