METHOD FOR ENSURING TELESCOPE OPERATION AND DEVICE FOR ITS IMPLEMENTATION Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC G02B23/00

Abstract RU 2803762 C2

FIELD: optical astronomy.

SUBSTANCE: invention is intended to ensure the operation of telescopes in the presence of bright fast-moving objects in the observation area. Initially, the direction in the observation field of the telescope is determined, an optical observation device with a radius of the observation field one to ten degrees greater than the radius of the telescope's observation field is installed at the telescope, and it is directed to the telescope's observation field. At the output of the optical observation device, luminous objects are recorded, their direction of movement and speed are determined. From the recorded objects, firstly, those are identified whose speed and direction of movement indicate that they belong to the class of stars, and this data is used to guide the telescope and optical observation device. Secondly, those objects are identified whose speed and direction of movement indicate that they belong to the class of space and flying objects of artificial origin, their parameters are determined and these parameters are used to protect at least one telescope from the effects of optical radiation on the results of observations from bright, fast-moving objects.

EFFECT: method and device provide increased efficiency of the telescope by reducing the impact of bright, fast-moving objects on the operation of the guidance system and on the observation results of at least one telescope.
