To achieve technical result, method includes: obtaining passive optical network identification information; obtaining transmission power information of the optical transmitter of the optical line terminal and minimum sensitivity of the optical receiver of the optical line terminal in accordance with the passive optical network identification information; obtaining reception power information of the optical network unit optical receiver; calculating a line attenuation value in accordance with transmission power of the optical transmitter of the optical line terminal and receiving power of the optical network unit optical receiver; and controlling transmission power of the optical network unit optical transmitter in accordance with the line attenuation value and minimum sensitivity of the optical receiver of the optical line terminal.

EFFECT: reduced level of energy consumption.
