FIELD: medicine; hygiene.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions includes two embodiments of the toothbrush operation method, relates to medical equipment and is intended for oral hygiene. In the first embodiment, a method for operating a toothbrush having a cleaning head, wherein said toothbrush forms a longitudinal axis of the toothbrush, and the cleaning head has bristles extending along the longitudinal bristle axis, comprises steps of: actuating the toothbrush; method comprises generating first and second information on force application: determining whether current tooth brush cleaning angle relative to cleaning surface during operation of toothbrush above or below one or more predetermined threshold values, by comparing ratio F1/(F1+F2/cosα1) with said one or more predetermined threshold values; and providing a user-perceived feedback relative to the toothbrush cleaning angle currently available. First information indicates the first force F1 applied by the cleaning head to the cleaning surface at the first angle to the longitudinal axis of the toothbrush and the longitudinal axis of the bristles. Second information indicates a second force F2 applied by the cleaning head to the cleaning surface at a second angle to the longitudinal axis of the toothbrush and the longitudinal axis of the bristles, wherein second angle differs from first angle. Each of the plurality of bristles extends in a direction substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the toothbrush, and the first force is directed substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the toothbrush and substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the bristles. Second force is directed substantially perpendicular to the bristle longitudinal axis and is arranged at an angle α1, which is substantially not perpendicular to said longitudinal axis of toothbrush. According to the second embodiment, the second force is substantially non-perpendicular to the bristle longitudinal axis and is located at an angle α2, which is substantially perpendicular to said longitudinal axis of toothbrush.
EFFECT: invention widens the range of technical means which improve the efficiency of brushing teeth.
