FIELD: veterinary medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to veterinary science, and can be used for diagnosis of type 2 swine circovirus disease. Method involves examining a biological material, wherein the analyzed object is a swine organ cut in a cryotome for the presence of the SCV-2 antigen by a direct immunohistochemical method. Monoclonal antibodies with horseradish peroxidase label clone 6h12 specific to the recombinant protein C of the second type of SCV virus are used, followed by specific coloring and detection of reddish brown conglomerates.
EFFECT: using the given method enables diagnosing type 2 swine circovirus disease in swine organs based on 6h12 monoclonal antibodies to the recombinant protein C of the SCV-2 virus for antigen identification of the given virus.
