FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biotechnology and veterinary virology and represents a diagnostic technique for porcine circovirus including cell culture RK-15, infection thereof with biological material, fixation of RK-15 cells, incubation serially with specific serums and anti-wit horseradish peroxidase-labeled immunoglobulins and detecting swine circovirus antigen by presence of dark red cell cytoplasm, characterized by that RK-15 cells are fixed for 30–40 minutes in 0.01–0.02 M phosphate-salt buffer with pH 7.2–7.4 containing 1–4 % paraformaldehyde and 0.2–0.4 % nonylphenyl polyethylene glycol, at temperature of 22–24 °C, then sequentially treated for 10–15 minutes with 0.01–0.02 M phosphate-salt buffer with pH 7.2–7.4, containing 0.3–0.4 M glycine and 1–2 % casein, followed by 10–15 minutes 0.3–0.6 % hydrogen peroxide, after which specific polyclonal antibodies are applied.

EFFECT: use of the declared method enables rapid and accurate diagnosis of porcine circovirus.
