SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of object recognition and counting. Method for monitoring farm lands, comprising obtaining a photograph of a unit of area of land, transmission of the obtained photograph to the server, processing of the photograph with identification of objects on it and output of monitoring results, and counting the number of identified objects on each photograph, determining the extent of infection of the entire area of lands based on counting objects based on the obtained photographs, method includes identifying an image of photo objects on a server using trained artificial neural networks, through which the boundaries of the image of the object are selected in the square of the fixed size of the obtained photograph, server comprises an insect database in all morphological stages, a weed database, a database of plant diseases, said neural networks, using image databases of identified objects, is trained to distinguish backgrounds of corresponding photographs of different types and determine objects on said photographs, as a result, data on location of object detection, time of fixation and number of fixed objects are obtained.

EFFECT: technical result consists in early diagnosis of diseases.
