FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to means of control and measuring equipment, namely to methods of monitoring geometrical parameters of surface profile, in particular, threads of pipes, lock couplings and similar articles including thread. Method of controlling thread geometric parameters involves using a monitoring device designed to move an optoelectronic sensor in space and detecting discrepancies in controlled thread parameters based on measurements of said sensor by comparison with a reference.
EFFECT: high efficiency of acquiring thread control data.
