FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of producing virtual models of such items as edges of GTE and GTU blades, edges of impeller blades in order to obtain a closed loop for repair of an item by direct metal application. Method involves scanning the surface of an article using a triangulation laser sensor. Result of scanning is processed by a low-pass filter on the axes of inclination and rotation of the table and refining scanning is carried out in the reverse direction using a video camera. Determining the coordinates of the boundaries of product in 3D, which together make up the virtual model, by transforming the coordinates of the image using the transformation matrix and adding the obtained displacements with the coordinates of the installation; said triangulation laser sensor and video camera make up a vision system.

EFFECT: expanded performances, higher efficiency.
