FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, specifically to ophthalmology. For treating macular holes (MH) removing vitreous body, replacing normal saline solution with air, applying on zone MH thrombocyte-rich plasma (TRP) and tread of vitreal cavity (VC). Prior to application on zone MH TRP three drops of collagenase solution with concentration of 5–100 KE/ml are exerted on the macular region with exposure of 15–30 seconds, followed by removal by irrigation and active aspiration. Macular area is then dried by laminar flow of directed air with delivery pressure of 25–35 mm Hg. At the end of operation with diameter MH up to 650 mcm is used for tamponade VC with gas at diameter MH over 650 mcm – with silicone with specific weight of 0.96–0.98 g/cm³ and viscosity of 1,000–1,500 mPa⋅s.

EFFECT: method eliminates retinal toxic damage, reduces traumatization of the retina as a result of excluding peeling of VCM, increases visual acuity.
