FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to embodiments of a gypsum calcination apparatus and includes gypsum calciner (1, 3–7) having an inner wall surface with a circular or annular configuration, as seen in its plan view, and a tubular combustion chamber (2) located at central part of calciner housing. Crude gypsum (M) in the calciner is calcined or dehydrated by means of a jet stream (Hg) of high-temperature gas discharged from the lower part of the combustion chamber. Calciner has auxiliary device with fixed blades or moving blades, which excites along circumference raw gypsum near inner wall surface in circumferential direction of calciner or accelerates movement of raw gypsum in it in circumferential direction. Auxiliary device has multiple fixed blades (10) located along circumference in external peripheral zone of lower part of combustion chamber and located at distance from each other with angular interval, or mixing device (30) passing through the conical or inner circumferential surface formed by the inner wall surface. Invention also relates to versions of a method of calcining gypsum. Invention is developed in dependent claims.
EFFECT: technical result is improvement of raw gypsum sedimentation in calciner to prevent uneven calcination of calcined gypsum and reduction of calciner fuel consumption.
