SUBSTANCE: invention represents a cement clinker calciner comprising a lower spiral section, a lower calcinator housing, an upper calciner housing and an upper spiral section. Lower spiral section comprises a lower spiral channel and an air intake opening, wherein the lower spiral channel supplies gas to the lower spiral section through an outlet hole communicating tangentially with the side wall of the lower spiral section. Lower spiral channel communicates with the first inlet for material to be calcined and the first inlet for fuel, and/or second inlet for material to be calcined and second inlet for fuel are located on side wall of lower spiral section. Narrowing section is located in the lower part of the upper housing of the calciner and is made with possibility of having a diameter gradually increasing along the vertical direction upwards. Upper side outlet communicating with the upper spiral section is located on the side of the upper housing of the calciner. Upper spiral section comprises an upper spiral channel, wherein inlet hole of upper spiral channel is made with possibility to communicate tangentially with upper side outlet hole, and direction of rotation of upper spiral channel is opposite to direction of rotation of lower spiral channel.
EFFECT: longer residence time of fuel and waste gas in the calciner, which enables to completely mix the material to be calcined, fuel and waste gas, as well as reduce emissions of nitrogen oxides into the atmosphere.
