FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: vehicle device includes glass windshield and system of wipers. Wiper brush has a rest zone on the windshield. Deicer selectively provides heat to the rest zone. Windshield temperature sensor measures the windshield temperature in the rest zone. Projection display is arranged nearby the windshield to display a temperature indicator responsive to the measured temperature. Automatic control circuit is configured to automatically deactivate deicer in determining icing conditions in response to measured temperature. Manual control element is configured to manually switch on and off the deicer. Thus, on the basis of feedback on windshield temperature excessive heating can be prevented. In addition, the driver is informed that the deicer is switched on, and simultaneously receives information allowing the driver to independently evaluate the conditions of the vehicle and make informed decisions on when to intervene in automatic operation.
EFFECT: disclosed is a wind power saving system for windshield anti-icing device.
