FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: car control system comprises a processor which receives and evaluates area indicator signals from sensors installed on a car. The processor also defines the framework in which each of subsystem control modes is suitable for the area in which the car is moving, and provides a signal indicating the most suitable subsystem control mode. A subsystem controller in automatic response mode configures each car subsystem in the most suitable control mode in response to said processor signal. The invention also relates to a method of controlling a car according to said system.
