SUBSTANCE: invention relates to instrument-making, namely to UHF radiometric receivers for equipment for remote sensing of the earth's surface and ecology. In particular, to UHF radiometry. Radiometer of moisture meter comprises series-connected three-input microwave switch, microwave circulator, high frequency amplifier, quadratic detector, low frequency amplifier, synchronous filter-synchronous detector, unit for calculating a multiplying-division operation and a recorder, control inputs of a microwave switch, a synchronous filter-synchronous detector are transmitted with modulation control signals from the modulation control device, a recorder, as well as "hot" and "cold" standard matched loads, thermal sensors of "hot" and "cold" reference coordinated loads, and heating element, structurally connected to "hot" reference matched load and heating it to temperature higher than temperature of "cold" reference matched load. Device includes a special computer, as well as an antenna array consisting of structurally connected four pairs of elementary antenna dipoles. One vibrator of each pair is designed to receive a vertically polarized electromagnetic wave and the other to receive a horizontally polarized electro-magnetic wave, located in one plane, so that their centres form a square.

EFFECT: use of invention will make it possible to increase accuracy of soil moisture content measurement.
