FIELD: measurements.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to remote measurement of the humidity of areas of the earth's surface, which are a flat-layered dielectric of natural origin with losses (soils, agricultural soils, snow cover, ice, grassy vegetation, etc.), for which laboratory studies do not provide both the required efficiency and accuracy. The invention can be used to determine the moisture content of soil horizons located below the air-surface boundary, for example, when substantiating rational agrotechnical measures in agriculture using precision farming technology.
EFFECT: increased efficiency and accuracy of measuring the percentage of moisture in areas of the earth's surface in the field with mixed (diffuse and specular) reflection of the probing radio signal.
